The apartment rental operations that the KAS Housing Group (hereinafter “KAS asunnot”) is engaged in require the processing of personal data. The processing of personal data is based on a legitimate interest of the company and/or a customer relationship, other factual connection or consent given by the customer. Personal data is used for purposes such as management of customer relationships, customer satisfaction surveys, other surveys, customer communications, apartment maintenance and apartment marketing. KAS asunnot pays special attention to securing the privacy of its customers and their personal data and complies with good processing practices. KAS asunnot does not use an automated decision-making process in relation to the personal data it collects.
Personal data is primarily collected from the customer himself or herself. In addition, personal data is also retrieved from the credit data register maintained by Suomen Asiakastieto Oy and the population information system maintained by the Population Register Centre.
KAS asunnot may also collect data about the terminal devices of users of its website by using cookies and other similar techniques, such as web analytics (for further information go to https://kas.fi/infoa/kayttoehdot/).
Collected data is not generally disclosed to outside KAS asunnot, excluding partners specified in the data protection plan and situations where the owner of an apartment changes.
According to the Personal Data Act, everyone has the right of access to the data on himself/herself contained in a personal data file. A request to access the data may not be made over the telephone. Instead, the request must be made in person. The person requesting information must provide their name, address and personal identity code and state whether they want to view data related to a specific matter, all data or data from a specific period.
Every data subject has the right to demand to have their data contained in a personal data file be rectified, erased or supplemented if it is
